Alresford was named one of the top 15 market towns you’ll want to discover, by the Guardian in 2021 and featured in the top 10 best countryside locations to relocate to, by Stylist Magazine in late 2020.

As a long-standing member of the Alresford community in Hampshire, Hellards Estate Agents are dedicated to supporting the community projects and causes which make Alresford such a great place to live.

In December 2021, we purchased the Alresford town Christmas tree which helped to light up the high street and provide Christmas cheer for all, following a particularly challenging year for many. We feel it is important to support the area in which we live, and work and we love the joy it brings to those who are involved in the various community projects.

Hellards are also regular sponsors of the Alresford Town Football Club and Alresford Rugby Club. This helps to provide members with opportunities to practice their sport and participate in matches, workshops and training sessions whilst bringing people together. We are also proud to sponsor the Coach Me Sports local tennis coaching for young people and adults in and around Alresford and Ropley, to help people of all sporting levels stay active.

Over the past year, we have been delighted to sponsor a range of other events and causes, including projects such as The Alresford Arts Society annual exhibition, the annual Apple Day, Watercress Way, which helps to preserve and maintain an important cycling and walking track in Alresford for local residents, and a wonderful ‘Welcome back!’ video project for the students of Perins School following a long period of homeschooling and lockdown during the pandemic.

We also support The Town Trust, who look after The Avenue, Alresford minibus and The Town Museum on Broad Street. We will be having a stand as normal at The Alresford Show next September, and plan to participate in some way with the annual Watercress Festival in May.
